The Salford Alliance of Learning Schools (S.A.L.S), through lead school Moorside Community Primary School and in conjunction with The University of Manchester, are excited to have the opportunity to deliver the ‘School Direct (SD) Programme’. School Direct enables graduates to develop close links with local schools as well as receiving academic and University support whilst training to teach.
S.A.L.S is a new, exciting and diverse coalition, united by the belief that we can make a difference.
The alliance consists of 5 additional partner schools;
- Alder Brook PRU
- Riverview Primary School, Salford.
- The Deans Primary School, Swinton.
- St Andrews C of E Primary School, Eccles.
- Brentnall Community Primary School, Salford.
- St Philips C of E Primary School, Salford.
- St Luke’s C of E Primary School, Salford.
- Peel Hall Community Primary School, Salford.
- Ravensfield Primary School, Dukinfield.
Our alliance covers a broad demographic within the city of Salford, and encapsulates the diverse educational needs, challenges and rewards that all teachers can expect to be presented with.
This is what we believe makes us unique, and is what provides you with the very best possible start to your teaching journey.
Working closely with the University of Manchester, the Number 1 Primary Teacher Training provider in the North West, our School Direct programme will see you gain your PGCE in the very best way.
If making a difference to the future generation is what you want to do and training within an exceptionally varied alliance is how you want to do it, then S.A.L.S could be for you.
