Moorside Community Primary School is a National Support School and Stephen Lawler-Smith, Head Teacher, is a National Leader of Education.
National Leaders of Education (NLE’s) are outstanding Head Teachers who, together with the staff in their schools, known as National Support Schools (NSS), use their skills and experience to support schools in challenging circumstances.
Moorside has a very successful record of working with other schools, Head Teachers, groups of teachers and individuals to improve teaching and learning, pupil attainment and progress. In addition to leading their own schools, NLE's work to build the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards across the country.
Stacey Corlett, Chair of Governors, is also a National Leader of Governance (NLG).
NLG's are Highly experienced individuals who give their knowledge, skills and experience to schools and who are desiganeted by the Department of Education. Thus Stacey has the capacity to support governors in other schools to function more effectively in supporting their schools, making a greater difference to the education of the children in their care.
Schools seeking advice or support, guidance or help of any kind can contact the school for an informal discussion.
